Kandrea Higgins

Kandrea Higgins is a seasoned senior executive and operations leader with 15+ years of experience successfully helping private, public and non-profit organizations execute their missions. Kandrea has experience leading and nurturing diverse and high performing teams in child welfare, homeless services, mental health services and general social services. Kandrea holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from John Jay College of Criminal Justice and a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Kandrea is currently completing a graduate certificate program in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Harvard University. Kandrea previously worked in senior leadership roles with the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services, the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, SCO Family of Services, Supportive Children’s Advocacy Network, The Family Center, and Children’s Community Services. Kandrea initially joined BPHN as a Social Services Consultant in July 2022 and is now being promoted to Vice President of Youth and Program Services, where she will sphere head the Care to Connections Grant (provides mental health services to homeless youths ages 13-21) as well help BPHN expand services to homeless youths. Kandrea is an avid traveler and tennis fan and is excited to join BPHN in this new role.
