Employee Benefits
PTO
BPHN offers employees time on an accrual base to utilize when needed. In a calendar year employees can start with a minimum of 23 PTO days, plus 11 paid holidays.
Medical Benefits
There are three plan options to choose from, High, Mid and Low Plan. Plans offer national coverage! Our dental benefits provide both in and out of network coverage through a PPO Plan. The plan includes a $1,000 (50% carryover) annual maximum per person. Includes vision benefits as well which provides access to regular exams, purchasing contacts or lenses every year and frames every two years. Discounts of u to 15% for vision Laser surgeries are also available.
The Difference Card
The Difference Card is an HRA provided to employees enrolled in the medical plan. This benefit is fully funded by BPHN and helps employees save money on medical costs.
Life and AD&D Insurance
When the unthinkable happens, you want to know your family is covered. Bronx Parent Housing Network provides full-time eligible employees with life and accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) insurance through Principal and pays the full cost of this benefit through Principal. This benefit provides you with Basic Life Insurance that equals 1x times your annual salary up to a maximum of $120,000. Benefits begin to reduce at age 65.
In addition to the company paid life insurance, employees have the opportunity to protect self and family through Voluntary Life and AD&D with Principal. This is an employee paid benefit. Spousal coverage is available in $5,000 increments up to $100,000, and Dependent Child coverage in $5,000 increments up to $20,000.
Dental
Dental benefits are available through Principal. Members will have the choice to enroll in the Dental Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) plan. The PPO plan provides both in and out of network coverage that includes a $1,000 (50% Carryover) annual maximum per person.
Vision
Vision benefits are provided through Principal using the VSP Network. This benefit provides access to regular exams, purchasing contacts or lenses every year and frames every two years. Discounts of up to 15% for vision laser surgeries are also available.
Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)
BPHN offers employees the opportunity to stretch healthcare, and/or dependent care dollars by using pre-taxed dollars for qualified expenses.
Commuter Benefits
BPHN offers employees commuter benefit plans for mass transit and parking benefits. This plan can reimburse staff for eligible commuting expenses on a pre-taxed basis
Retirement Savings Plan - 403-(B)
Employees are eligible to contribute to the 403(B) Plan through Empower. BPHN matches dollar for dollar up to 3% and when contributing up to 5%, BPHN will match 4%. This is an immediate vesting program. In addition, BPHN offers a bi annual retention bonus which can translate into a 3% contribution into a participating and contributing team members account.
Pet Benefits
BPHN offers pet benefits to employees at exclusive group rates. All pets are eligible – no exclusions on type, breed, age, of pets.
